Hythane Reformer
This technology is used for hydrogen production, using heat as the catalyst to separate hydrogen from water and hydrocarbons such as methane. Reformers capable of producing anywhere from 12 to 100 Nm3/hr of hydrogen at a 99.999% purity level are available.
Blending
Hythane® blenders can be engineered to accommodate even the most rigorous fueling demands. This device takes care of the blending of natural gas and hydrogen with a failsafe and redundant quality control. The virtually maintenance free system is housed in a specially designed cabinet to allow for easy inspections.
Compression
Depending on the application, compression is achieved by either reciprocating or diaphragm compression. For fuel cells, hydrogen compression must be achieved without the use of lubricants to avoid fuel contamination. Hythane’s compressors are custom engineered to meet the storage and flow requirements for Hythane® fuel and to maximize efficiency.
Storage
Nothing enhances high pressure refueling stations more than increasing the storage capability. Hythane’s efficient systems are designed to minimize refueling times and to maximize the facility storage space. Storage vessels with pressure capabilities ranging from 3,600 to 10,000 psi, (25 to 69 MPa) are available in both cylindrical and spherical configurations. All tanks are manufactured to ASME pressure vessel standards and are approved for Hythane® use.
Dispensing
In order to keep your station at top performance, refueling must be fast, efficient and reliable to service the transit industry. Hythane® fuel dispensers come in two forms: a simple, single hose unit or multiple dual hose dispensers. Hythane dispensers are capable of full integration with fuel management systems and card readers.
